I'm giving these guys a perfect review in part to counteract the single very negative review here. My neighbor and I share a long, steep driveway here in Montclair, Oakland. North-Cal first gave us a fair estimate on the job that was very detailed and clear on the process (unlike other bids). These guys worked long and hard to do the job right. They started at 8am with a crew of 5-7 and worked a 12-hour day to finish it up right. They took their lunch breaks in shifts to keep the job rolling. Paving is a multi-step process and they kept returning to problem areas to soften the asphalt and smooth it out until it was perfect. Unfortunately their spreader broke down near the bottom of the driveway but that didn't stop them! They completed the last few feet BY HAND, well after dark. They could have bailed and said "good enough", but that's clearly not how this company rolls! Highly recommend.
